TWO elderly people were injured when a fire started a kitchen in Winchester.
Firefighters were called to Richard Moss House residential care home in St Peter’s Street in Winchester after a fire broke out on Wednesday night at about 6pm.
The fire had started from the cooker in the individual flat but there was minimal damage to the kitchen including some smoke damage.
The two occupants, a man and a women, by the time crews from Winchester, Eastleigh and Redbridge fire stations had arrived.
Both were treated for smoke inhalation injuries by South Central Ambulance Service.
