Winchester Discovery Centre shut due to powercut
UPDATE: Centre to open as usual tomorrow.
Winchester Discovery Centre is currently shut due to a power failure.
The centre in Jewry Street suffered the powercut last night and is shut until further notice.
A staff member at the Discovery Centre told the Chronicle he hopes the problem will be sorted today.
He said: "We do have a powercut but the electric board are currently working on it.
"I believe it started last night. We are hoping to open again later today."
Hampshire Library Service posted an update on Facebook which stated: "Due to a power cut Winchester Discovery Centre is currently closed, we will let you know as soon as it has been resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes you."
