Broken down train leads to delays
A BROKEN-down train is causing delays of up to 30 minutes in Hampshire this morning.
Trains between Southampton Central and London Waterloo could be diverted via Guildford and Havant to avoid the carriage at Winchester.
A South West Trains spokesman said: “The driver is currently speaking with our control team, to try and fix the fault so that the train moves and clears the line.
“These attempts have been unsuccessful, and technicians are being sent to the train from our depot near Southampton.”
CrossCountry services from Birmingham New Street to Southampton are also affected.
Disruption is expected to continue until 10am.
