AN inquest into the death of a Micheldever teenager who died on holiday in Crete has been adjourned.

The inquest into how 18-year-old Archie Lloyd died was opened in August and heard he died from a head injury on August 6.

As previously reported, the teenager was on holiday with classmates from the Harrow School to celebrate the end of A-levels.

It has been reported he was involved in a row in Malia and was punched before hitting his head on the ground.

Archie, who was awaiting his A-Level results, is said to have refused medical treatment after the incident and returned to his hotel where he was found dead hours later.

The inquest in Winchester heard from Det Sgt Mark Huxford who told the hearing that Sebastian Trabucatti, accused of punching Mr Lloyd, has been charged with manslaughter and has been released on bail and is back in the UK.

DS Huxford added police have yet to speak to key witnesses who have just returned to the UK.

Senior coroner Grahame Short adjourned the inquest to April 19 to hear from more witnesses and possibly Mr Trabucatti.

Mr Short said: “I do regret the situation that the family find themselves in having to postpone the inquest in these circumstances, but I think there is no choice.”
