A WINCHESTER schoolgirl has been found almost a week after her disappearance.
Police have revealed that Jess Horton who went missing from Winchester has been located safe and well in Dorset.
It follows an extensive search for the 15-year-old which involved a number of appeals and CCTV images of her movements in Winchester and Bournemouth.
Jess, a Year 11 pupil at The Westgate School, went missing from Wesley Methodist Church in Fromond Road, Weeke, Winchester at around 8pm last Friday.
She left without any money for food, drink or shelter. She also suffers from asthma and did not have any medication with her. A number of people came forward following appeals who had seen her or spoken to her.
A tweet on the Hampshire Police twitter page this morning said: “We're pleased to say Jess Horton, missing from Winchester, has been found safe and well in Dorset. Thanks for all the RTs.”
