A WINCHESTER nursery is celebrating its 'outstanding' Ofsted results.
St Paul's Preschool, which is held at Fulflood's St Paul's Church, has 38 children, from 30 months to four-years-old.
An inspection carried out at the end of June showed the school to improved its former 'good' status to 'outstanding'/ Silvia Brown, the school manager and lead manager, was described as “an inspirational leader”.
Inspectors also said “the quality of teaching is of a consistently high standard” and children developed good relationships with staff leading to them becoming “confident, highly independent and competent learners”.
Ms Brown said: “It was a surprise to open the door to the inspector, but then everything just fell back into the everyday routine, and we all had a lovely day.”
Preschool Committee chairman Jessica Gibb said the award was “totally deserved by a truly inspirational and wonderful team”.
Parent Harriet Hide, whose daughter attends the preschool, added: “We all know that our children attend an outstanding preschool with exceptional staff, so it is brilliant that this has now been officially recognised.”
