RAIL passengers are facing delays of more than an hour after a train broke down between Winchester and Basingstoke.
Trains in the Winchester area came to a standstill as South West Trains removed the carriage.
Update: South West Trains said at 3pm: "The broken down train is now on the move and both lines are now moving again. Delays will continue during service recovery."
The firm has apologised for delays of up to 90 minutes and warned services could be diverted.
Disruption is expected to continue until 4pm despite the .
It comes as thousands of people take trains home from this weekend's BoomTown Fair near Winchester.
