A CHARITY that wants to improve the quality of life for people in the UK and Mongolia has donated £250 to a centre that helps the disabled.

A Better Life, which runs the annual Wacky Races go-kart racing event in Kings Worthy, handed over the cash to Hampshire Riding Therapy Centre.

Based in Hensting, near Colden Common and Fisher’s Pond, the centre works with children and adults with special needs through horse riding.

Liza Bowers-Stroud, who founded A Better Life with Leigh McQueen, of Kings Worthy, said she was very pleased to donate the money.

“It came from our Wacky Races event,” she said.

“It’s really nice to give to them because they are struggling and they do an amazing job in the stables. Charities are looking for funds all the time but it’s nice for one charity to give to another.”

Last year the charity bought a pony for the centre.
