IT was a hairy month for an Alresford business.
As part of the annual charity fundraiser ‘Movember’ staff from Alresford Salads donated £583.
The campaign wants to change the face of men’s health by raising awareness and improving the lives of men affected by prostate and testicular cancer and mental health issues.
Ian Cummins, Nick Fuller, Steve Turner, Piotr Kardys and James Archer all grew their moustaches throughout November to raise the money.
Steve Turner, site operations manager, said the company is delighted to support the cause.
“It is a fantastic charity that highlights rarely-discussed topics such as male mental health,” he said.
“A shocking one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lives. Thank you to everyone who grew a moustache and to those who supported the cause by donating.”
The team were sponsored and also held numerous cake sales.
