Warning after bogus home improvement calls
HAMPSHIRE Trading Standards has issued a warning to residents about taking bogus calls offering wall and loft insulation.
The department has advised residents against agreeing to work instigated by way of a cold-call of a leaflet and instead to get three separate quotes from reputable firms.
It states these firms must either be members of the Hampshire County Council Trading Standards Buy With Confidence Scheme or another recognised trade association.
Anyone with information about cold-callers are urged to contact the Hampshire County Council’s Quick Response Team on 01962 833666.
