ALRESFORD residents with an alternative vision for the future of the town are holding a public exhibition on Saturday October 18 in the Community Centre.

A newly-formed group of local professionals are unhappy at the proposal to build some 350 houses on land off Sun Lane.

They aim to engage with the local community to gain people's views on the issues the alternative draft plan should address.

Alresford must provide space for 500 new homes in the periods running to 2031 under the Winchester Local Plan.

Meanwhile representatives of the city council town council and residents from Nursery Road, Tichborne Down and Sun Lane met the potential developer Seaward Properties to discuss how the Sun Lane development may impact on local people.
