HURSLEY villagers are set to take part in a special wartime commemoration.

On Saturday, October 4, at All Saints Church and Parish Hall there will be the Great War Dinner and Dance giving residents the chance to remember the fallen.

There will be a three-course meal in the candlelit church with readings, a musical interlude, followed by music and dancing in the parish hall until midnight.

Tickets cost £40 each and go on sale at the Post Office on August 1. The dress code is Edwardian country house style.
