CHILDREN with a sweet tooth had better prepare themselves when the Easter Bunny pays a special visit to Winchester this year.

Organised by the Winchester Business Improvement District (BID) and city council, the free Winchester Bunny Hop is inviting children right across the district to take part in a city-wide Easter egg hunt.

Egg-shaped clue cards displaying a letter will be hidden away in shops up and down the High Street. Once all the cards have been collected it’s off to the Discovery Centre to work out the simply mystery phrase which could see one lucky winner earn themselves a 400g giant milk chocolate egg.

Lotti Eagles, marketing and communications officer of Winchester BID, said: “The Winchester Bunny Hop is a great way for families to enjoy some time together over the Easter period, and to visit some of the fantastic confectioners and child-friendly shops across the city.

“We are so pleased to be working with the city council on this event, which is now in its fifth year, and we are very grateful to the businesses that support the event and make it possible.”

The eggstravagant event takes place from Saturday April 5 to Thursday April 17 and Saturday April 19.
