A NEW monthly support meeting for people affected by a chronic disease has launched in Winchester.

The Alzheimers Cafe will be held at St Peter’s church hall in Jewry Street, after its launch on Wednesday. (JAN8) The next meeting will be on February 5, between 7-9pm when the subject will be What is Dementia?

The full programme is:

March 5: What Happens at Day Services;

April 2: How Memory works;

May 7: Communication;

June 4: Emotions;

July 2: Summer Special;

September 3: Fear and Anger;

October 1: Grieving and Guilt;

November 5: Living with Dementia, hitting a brick wall, it’s all getting too much;

December 3: Christmas Special.
