Macmillan cancer support coming to Winchester
A CANCER charity is coming to Winchester this week to mark breast cancer awareness month.
Macmillan Cancer Support’s mobile service will be at the Guildhall on Thursday (Oct 3) from 10am to 4pm, with a team of specialists on hand to offer free, confidential advice and support.
Michelle Smith, information and support specialist on the unit, said: “Cancer is the toughest fight many people will ever face, and the feelings of isolation and loneliness that so many people experience make it even harder.
“If you have any worries or questions about cancer, whether it’s about you, a relative or friend, come and talk to us.”
No appointments are necessary. Anyone who is unable to attend can call Macmillan free on 08088 080000 or visit macmillan.org.uk.
