ENVIRONMENTAL work is set to begin on a Winchester meadow next week.
A project to restore the site of special scientific interest (SSSI) at St Faith’s Meadow, St Cross, begins on Monday, September 2.
The site was damaged by a willow and poplar plantation and work is set to take place for two to three months to clear felled trees and build new fencing and pathways.
A footpath diversion will be in place between Garnier Road and St Cross Meadows from September 2, routed via Kingsgate Road, St Faith’s Road and Back Street.
