Winchester car dealership supports charity cyclists
WINCHESTER car dealership Hendy Ford is supporting a group of charity cyclists.
Starting from The White Horse pub in Hermitage, West Berkshire, landlord Neil Denton and his team will be stopping off for lunch at sponsors Hendy Ford’s newly refurbished showroom.
Riding over 400 miles from Swindon to Paris, Giles Bennett, 33, Lily Howell, 16, Neil Denton, 62 all from Hermitage in West Berkshire, and Will Buglass, 18, will pass through the city on Wednesday (August 14) before setting off for the French capital.
The group hope to raise money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance, British Association for Immediate Care (BASICS) and bibic, which cares for children with brain conditions.
Cyclist, Giles Bennet, said: “This is our biggest cycling challenge to date. The support we have received from companies such as Hendy Ford makes a massive difference to our charities.’’ Paul Hendy, managing director, said: “We’ll all be out in Easton Lane to cheer on the cyclists as their challenge gets underway.’’
