SEVERAL cars were vandalised in Winchester earlier this week.
Five vehicles were damaged in Middle Brook Street between midnight and 7.45am on Monday, February 4, with wing mirrors broken off each car.
Police believe the damage occurred at around 4.45am after three people were heard causing damage before running off into the city centre.
PC Adam Quantrill of the Winchester City Centre Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “This type of mindless damage causes the victims considerable costs to repair their vehicles. Given the number of properties on the road, I am hopeful people would have heard or seen the damage being caused or may have seen somebody acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
Anyone with information should contact PC Quantrill of PCSO Laurence Day at Winchester Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
