WINCHESTER Cathedral is once again teaming up with a local school for its annual Education Sunday.

Henry Beaufort pupils will attend a special service on Sunday, February 3 led by the Bishop of Portsmouth on the theme of ‘believe and achieve’.

It is part of a wider education programme throughout the winter and spring which began with a lecture series on religion and values in a liberal state earlier this month.

Two more lectures take place on Thursday, January 31 and Thursday, February 7 led by Canon Prof Lord Raymond Plant, professor of jurisprudence and political philosophy at Kings College, London.

The series is part of a joint project between the cathedral and Winchester University.

Lent workshops begin on Wednesday, February 27 until Thursday, March 21 while a special sermon takes place at 9.45am and 11am on Sunday, February 17.

Finally, an interfaith lecture, also in conjunction with the university, takes place on Wednesday, March 20, examining images of Jesus in other religions.
