FIRE crews in Hampshire have fought to stop hundreds of litres of fuel from entering drains after a lorry overturned.
The incident near Leckford Estate, Stockbridge, saw the driver taken to hospital in an ambulance while fire crew from Andover, Stockbridge and Eastleigh worked at the scene.
The lorry had been carrying 8000 litres of liquid sewerage when it overturned shortly before 12pm today (Monday, January 7).
Crew used containers to collect the leaking diesel to prevent it landing on the road and entering the street’s drains.
