STUDENTS from a Winchester college are to benefit from three study tours thanks to a grant from the South of England Agricultural Society.
The £2,000 grant means some lucky students on Sparsholt College’s countryside management courses will head to Snowdonia, while those studying agriculture will spend the week at a college in Sweden.
Some undergraduates on aquaculture and fishery management degree courses will go on a two-day tour to Dorset.
Caroline James, learning manager at Sparsholt’s fishery department, said: “Our students need some experience of other practices and cultures which is why the study programme is a vital part of their studies.”
