POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man suspected of theft and fraudulent use of a bank card in Winchester.

A man approached an 82-year-old woman at Tesco in Easton Lane between 11.15am and 11.30am on Friday, November 16.

He told her she had dropped a £10 note and put his hand into her bag to help her look but once she returned home she found her bank card had been stolen and used to withdraw money from her account.

PC Darryl Clarke said: “I would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image as I hope he will be able to help us with our enquiries.”
