HAMPSHIRE’S Rotary clubs dug deep at their recent annual fundraising dinner.

Nine Rotary clubs from across the county raised an impressive £1035 through ticket sales and a raffle.

The dinner, held at the Haskins Garden Centre restaurant in West End, Southampton, was organised by Shaun Butler with the help of other members.

More than 120 Rotarians contributed, meaning disadvantaged children can now enjoy a day out to Paulton’s Park. Funds will also be used to purchase equipment for the disabled.

Matt Hill, general manager at Haskins, said: “The Rotary evening was our first major event last year after the restaurant reopened and we were delighted to welcome back our VIPs.”
