POLICE today appealed for help after a man was mugged in Winchester.
The 44-year-old victim was walking along Western Road, Fulflood, when he was assaulted and left unconscious.
He woke to find his wallet, phone and keys had been stolen. It happened at around 1.30am on Saturday, December 1.
The victim attended hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.
PC Dale Pusey said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who saw what happened or anyone who heard anything suspicious in the hours leading up to the attack, to come forward and speak to us. Did you hear any loud noises that concerned you? Did you see anyone hanging around the area?
“This has been a distressing time for the victim and a very unpleasant start to the festive season. Help us deliver justice to the person or people responsible by telling us what you know.”
