A34 closed northbound tonight from 10pm
DRIVERS are being reminded that the northbound A34 north of Winchester will be closed overnight tonight for bridge maintenance.
The northbound carriageway will shut between the A33 (Kings Worthy) and the A303 (Bullington Cross) overnight between 10pm and 6am as bridge joint replacement work continues on the Bowden Hill bridge.
The Highways Agency said the closure will allow the Bowden Hill bridge to be raised onto temporary supports.
A fully signed diversion route will be in place via the A33 and A303.
