BURGLARS made off with property worth more than £5,000 after breaking into a house at Braishfield. A rear patio door was forced to gain entry to the dwelling allowing the burglars to get in and remove a large quantity of electrical and jewellery during Tuesday afternoon last week.
Amongst the haul were four watches, which included a Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer and Armani brand names. Missing electrical items include two televisions, a Sony PlayStation 3, four or possibly five iPods, a Nintendo Wii computer console, a Toshiba laptop computer and a Sony DVD player. And the list of jewellery stolen includes a couple of bracelets, three pairs of cuff links, a necklace and three gold rings. A Garmin sat nav was also stolen along with a purse and two wallets.
Police say it's known that neighbours of the burglary victims spotted suspicious activity in the area the same day.
PC Ty Tapper who is leading the investigating said: "Three unknown vehicles were seen in the area by neighbours, a white coloured Luton van with an orange shutter at the rear, a small green car and a white transit van. I would appeal to the owners of these vehicles or anyone with information to contact the police.
Anyone with information about the break-in or is offered any of the missing property for sale is asked to contact PC Tapper on 0845-045-4545.
