CLOTHING store FatFace raised over £600 for local charity Trinity Winchester through their “Thanks for Giving” fundraising week.

Instead of cutting prices during ‘Black Friday’ sales, FatFace stores nationwide made donations from the sale of items sold from November 21-28 2016 to the FatFace Foundation.

The Foundation aims to support people in communities where FatFace sources, manufactures, retails and distributes its products.

Stores nationwide took part in fundraising activities during the Black Friday week, which are being distributed to charities nominated by colleagues.

Christina Ogilvie, assistant manager at the High Street store, said: “We have a Big Issue seller right outside our shop who told us about the great work that Trinity do. We wanted to raise funds for a local charity that makes a huge difference to the city. We are so pleased to have raised this money for their valuable work with homeless and vulnerable people.”

The FatFace team are going to continue supporting Trinity’s work by volunteering at the drop in centre, and taking on other fundraising challenges throughout the year.

Lucy Tennant, Events and Community Fundraiser at Trinity Winchester, said: “We are so grateful that FatFace Winchester chose to support us through their fundraising week. It has been wonderful getting to know the team there, and the amount raised will go towards supporting some of the most vulnerable people in Winchester. We’d like to thank staff and customers of FatFace for making this brilliant donation possible.”
