Narrow victory for Annie Saunders in Alresford Town Council byelection
A FORMER Winchester Conservative city councillor has won the vacant seat on Alresford Town Council.
In a byelection caused by the resignation of Natalie Carpenter, Annie Saunders polled 810 votes, edging out former town council chairman Robin Atkins who stood under the banner ‘Clean Up New Alresford Town Council’. He got 774.
Third was local postman Steve Deeming with 584 votes.
