A PILOT scheme to encourage children and their families to dabble in art is being launched.
ArtSTART is run by Winchester-based deaf artist Donna Vokes and her firm, Evanga Studios.
Last month (December) she helped to organise a treasure trail art quiz in Parchment Street, Winchester, for festive shoppers.
Her latest idea will be to hold after school and weekend art clubs in village and community halls in the district from January to March.
Sessions will be held in Hursley, Kings Worthy, King’s Somborne and also at Hyde in Winchester.
Parents will be encouraged to create artworks with their children, who have to be aged five or over.
If the pilot scheme proves a success then the hope is to organise sessions for the next two years.
