A CARAVAN holiday park in the Meon Valley has been given the green light to increase its activity all year round.
City councillors granted planning permission for a touring caravan site in Maybush Lane, Soberton, to permanently station 35 caravans on the property.
The site has been operating for five years under a licence from the Camping and Caravan Club that allowed the field to have five caravans on and stage rallies for up to 150 caravans for up to 28 days per year.
But this permission now means the holiday site has all-year-round provision as well as the ability to host rallies.
Residents and Soberton Parish Council opposed the plans, with 42 letters of objection sent in, although there were also 25 letters of support.
