A WORLD famous DJ swapped Ibiza for Otterbourne on Saturday to deliver an intimate set in memory of a Hampshire boy killed in a road accident.
Trevor Nelson brought his soul to the sold-out Bradfest, a one-day festival raising £12,000 for cancer charities through Bradley's Foundation.
The third annual event at Woodlands Park, sponsored by Charters, raised money for causes including a Teenage Cancer Trust appeal, supporting a new 10-bed cancer ward for young people at Southampton General Hospital.
BBC DJ Nelson topped a bill which also included Southampton songstress Charley Macaulay, pop singer Danielle May and indie rockers The Novatones, fresh from sets at Common People and Blissfields this summer.
They performed to a crowd of 500, with good weather ensuring tickets sold better than last year.
Bradley's Foundation was founded in 2012 in memory of Bradley Watson, who died in a car accident in 2000, just days after his ninth birthday.
His mother, Tina Dine, said: "It was an exceptional day – in total we raised £12,000, so that was fantastic. All the organisers were absolutely delighted with the local support from the local community, and local companies that sponsored us.
"A lot of people went to a lot of effort, a lot of people volunteered and gave services and products and time for nothing, so it was a huge success."
