A TWYFORD practice is encouraging young people to put away the technology and get outdoors.

The Patient Participation Group hosts ‘Put the Screens away’ day on Saturday, July 18, from 11am-1pm, at the Colden Common Community Centre.

Open to children aged three to 15, entrance costs £2 each, and gives the chance for children and their accompanying adults to learn the importance of exercise and healthy eating.

Visitors can bring along their favourite fruit and vegetables to be made into healthy smoothies.

The event is run by Tom and Beth Pugh of DistrictSports Winchester – specialists in school and community coaching.
