CHURCHES near Owslebury are drawing up plans to become more relevant to the community.
St Andrew’s and Morestead Church are banding with other local churches to create the Benefice Mission Action Plan.
It follows the setting of priorities by the Diocese.
In an email sent to Owslebury residents, church officials said: “Rather than immediately dive into the identification of things we want to do in our Benefice, we are starting by taking a step back and asking ourselves and those in the community, how the church can be more relevant to them everyday life. In doing this it will ensure we do not approach the task with too narrow focus, but understand how those both in the church and those who do not attend, view the church.”
They have asked residents to put forward two suggestions, about what the church can do to be more relevant to parishioners, to helenbmap@gmail.com.
