SEVEN spring gardens will be open to the public in Swanmore near Bishop's Waltham to raise money for charity.

Scenes on offer at Swanmore Open Gardens vary from intimate cottage patches to country landscapes with views to the Isle of Wight. Two will be made public for the first time.

The exhibition runs from 1pm to 5pm on the weekend of April 18-19, and again on June 20-21.

Tickets are available for £6 in the Paterson Centre, Church Road, from 12.30pm daily. Proceeds go to the St Barnabas charity and Swanmore Voluntary Care Group and Lunch Club.

Parking is free and the Meon Valley Lions are loaning their minibus to provide a free service to the gardens.
