Villagers urged to wear reflective clothing after narrow escapes
RESIDENTS in Otterbourne are being urged to wear reflective or light-coloured clothing at night after a couple of near-misses in the village.
A local resident said due to the lack of visibility and street lighting they had a very close call with a pedestrian and his child as they were dressed all in black and grey.
Another incident involved a cyclist riding down Otterbourne Road with no lights, who narrowly avoided a car coming in the other direction.
People have been asked to take particular care in Hurdle Way.
