TWYFORD Teddy Boys rolled back the years and greased back their hair for a 1950s Boxing Day disco.
More than 150 revellers rocked around the Christmas tree after David Foreman invited the community for a nostalgic dance in the village.
The 61-year-old from Eastleigh spun vintage records for the ‘Boxing Day boogie’ with the help of his friends Steve Piper and Glenn Stewart after the success of the rock ‘n’ roll club he set up earlier this year for enthusiasts of the era.
“It went absolutely brilliantly,” he said. “About 160 people turned up and about 40 or 50 people dressed up as teddy boys.
“People just came along to enjoy themselves. I think the club is very surprised at the turn out. People were eating and drinking and dancing.
“We’re hoping we can do it again next year and get a band.”
