Land earmarked at Colden Common for traveller site
LAND in Colden Common has been identified as a possible permanent site for travellers.
An exhibition was held in the community centre, by Winchester City Council, as part of its Local Plan Part Two tour across parts of Hampshire.
The site at Ashbrook Stables, in Main Road, is intended for around eight pitches of the 33 traveller pitches target set within the local plan.
Colden Common Parish Council clerk Debbie Harding said: “Colden Common Parish Council have not yet considered this additional policy for Colden Common and will wish to discuss the plan with Winchester City Council once local views have been received.”
