A BUS service that runs between from Romsey to Winchester will have an increase in services.
Bus Company Stagecoach has announced that more buses will run on the number 66 route that runs between the two towns.
Now there will be double the frequency between the two towns with a half hourly daytime service as well as a new hourly service on Sundays.
The buses will also now serve the new Abbotswood development and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and there will be more evening journeys.
The news comes as a response to public demand and discussions between Hampshire County Council and Stagecoach.
Leader of Hampshire County Council, Roy Perry, said: “The council has engaged in very positive discussions with the bus company and I am delighted we have got such a good outcome.”
