Swnamore post office to open for 62 hours more if plans approved
SWANMORE Post Office could open for an additional 62 hours a week if relocation plans are approved.
Plans to move the branch in New Road next door, into Central Convenience Stores, are out for public consultation.
The current postmaster backs the plans, which would see the branch open from 5.30am-9pm on weekdays and extent its hours on weekends.
Post Offices across the country are being revamped to create “open-plan” branches and extend opening hours.
The investment is the largest in the company’s history.
