BLISSFIELDS is throwing two parties - but one is slightly bigger than the other.

The Winchester festival's headline acts have been booked and the first lineup announcement is coming on January 11.

First is Saturday's Christmas bash with live music, DJs and festive games.

But next summer thousands of people are invited to channel their "inner child" at Hampshire's biggest house party - the theme for Blissfields 2016.

Organisers have given punters time to sort their costumes at Christmas, inviting them to bring PJs and mixtapes to their decade-hopping festival.

They said: "Channelling the spirit of National Lampoons and Dr. Frank N. Furter via the Bratpack, 1990s and Skins, we've smudged the eras into the party at the end of the universe.

"It's the end of the world as we know it, but we feel fine. A house party is nothing without the guests - so come and build this utopian cathedral with us. Don't forget your toothbrush. Toga!"

On Saturday the the Bliss family will host its traditional Christmas party at the King Charles pub in Kings Worthy.

The event is headlined by Son of Dave and Too Many T's with support from Hey Charlie, Nelly B Page and DJs in the garden rum bar.

Tickets cost £10 - and revellers can make their money back with a discount for the same amount on a Blissfields ticket.

Current ticketholders get free entry and the event runs from 7pm to 1am. To book, visit king-charles.co.uk.

Blissfields 2016 takes place between June 30 and July 2. Tickets are now on sale at 'tier one' prices of £95.45 for adults, £70.45 for ages 10-16 and a penny for children under 10. Prices increase as the festival draws nearer and are likely to go up with the first lineup announcement in the New Year.
