AFTER three years of dormancy the Kings and Headbourne Worthy branch of the Royal British Legion has a new lease of life.
It is thought the branch originally launched 90 years ago when a local ex-serviceman acquired a former Great War hut and erected in on land off Springvale Road. The road later became Legion Lane, as it remains today.
However due to a lack of members the branch has been inactive for around three years.
Now Tony Dowland, member of 35 years, wants to relaunch it.
There will be a welcome meeting on Tuesday, March 31, at 7.30pm at The Worthies Sport and Social Club.
