DRAINS in Kings Worthy are set for improvements.
In its October update the parish council said they have heard from the county council regarding Springvale Road drainage.
They said all pipes along the road will be upgraded to 225mm, as some sections are currently 150mm. Soakaways will be emptied, and connections to pipes improved; a grill will be added to the pipe at King Charles’ entrance; and on London Road the soakaway under the A34 will be emptied.
The drainage at the junction of Church Lane will also be investigated.
The parish council said: “We will continue to press for further upgrades but we welcome the current work plans.”
