THE Littleton Church Room Appeal has raised a further £1,789 from two recent events.
On June 15 there were seven open gardens in Littleton, and on June 18 Littleton Tennis Club played host to a ladies tournament.
The appeal needs £130,000 to refurbish the much-used church room, and the total currently stands at £103,700.
Carol Ward, appeal coordinator, said: “Both events went really well. There was a lot of support. We made about £1300 on the open gardens, and £489 from the tennis. We had 19 players and three court winners, and we served over 150 cream teas at the gardens.”
She added: “We are at building regulation stage now, and hopefully work will start in March next year.”
