POLICE have launched an inquiry after two children were hospitalised when their school bus collided with a car.
A further nine youngsters were hurt after the crash in Durley Street, Durley.
The yellow school bus was taking pupils to Kings’ School off Romsey Road in Winchester.
It collided with a Volkswagen Golf and its driver suffered slight injuries, said police.
Around 50 youngsters were on the bus at the time of the crash, said a spokesman for Kings’ School.
Of those, police said 11 complained of various cuts, bumps and bruises after the collision.
Two were taken to Southampton General Hospital to be checked over for whiplash.
They were allowed home the same day and there were no reports of any serious injuries.
All of the pupils involved in the drama are now believed to be back at school.
Police have not charged anyone in connection with the crash, but are investigating the matter.
Officers have asked for anyone who saw the crash, which happened at 8am last Thursday (November 17), to get in touch.
