Man admits causing death by careless driving in Ropley
A HAMPSHIRE man has admitted causing a fatal car crash that killed a motorcyclist near Alresford.
Stephen John Hunt, 21, admitted causing the death of Ian Kingham by driving without due care and attention on the A31 Winchester Road at Ropley on June 22.
Magistrates at Winchester adjourned the case for sentencing at the city’s crown court on December 2.
Hunt, of Fairfield Green, Four Marks, was released on unconditional bail. Magistrates imposed an interim disqualification.
Mr Kingham, 54, from St Helier, Jersey, was riding his Harley Davidson back from a motorcycle rally. He died at the scene after the collision with a Suzuki Alto.
