Rabbits still digging up trouble

RABBITS are still causing a nuisance by digging holes in the Memorial Playing Fields at Compton.

It comes after a cull last year, and parish chiefs heard that another one might be needed in 2010.

If it goes ahead, residents living nearby would be warned before any shooting takes place at the field, members heard.

The March meeting of Compton and Shawford Parish Council also heard about plans for a new all weather pitch at the playing fields.

The parish police report, which was read at the meeting, said four assaults were reported during the past month. One was a domestic incident, while the other three occurred on a bus that was passing through the area.
