A PUBLIC inquiry into a scheme for 80 new homes will resume on Wednesday, April 7.
The application by Taylor Wimpey UK was due to be heard by a planning inspector in February.
However, after three days, it became clear that more time was needed to decide the matter.
A further three days in April have now been set aside for the scheme at Little Frenchies Field at Denmead.
The plot is one of four ‘reserve sites’ named by Winchester City Council as possible housing land if current supplies dry up.
The largest of the four sites is at Pitt Manor in Winchester, which is also being lined up by developers. It could provide up to 200 homes and the city’s third park and ride scheme.
