FUNDRAISERS near Winchester have purchased cameras to help with treatment at a disability support centre.
Meon Valley Lions Club bought two high-quality Sony W830 cameras for the Rainbow Centre in Fareham.
This specialist day centre for Conductive education assists children and adults from all over Hampshire to improve mobility and movement in the face of disability caused by cerebral palsy, adult-stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease or similar.
Patients learn to retrain unaffected areas of their brain to deliver improved functionality and movement, through setting new goals and progressively stretching the individual’s achievements.
Every patient session is recorded through photos or videos to provide a historical record of progress over time.
A delegation from the Lions Club accepted an invitation from Yvonne Campbell, the senior community fundraiser at the Rainbow Centre, to visit and learn more about their work.
