A KINGS Worthy man who was caught drink driving twice in four days has been banned for 30 months.
Ross Mackay, 66, admitted the two counts of driving with excess alcohol.
A court heard that Mackay, of Fraser Road, was stopped in a 64-reg skoda in Easton Lane, Winnall, on May 13 and then on May 17 in Fraser Road. The first time his alcohol reading was 48 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath. In the second it was 76, more than double the legal limit.
Magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £600 with a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The 30-month driving ban will be cut by 30 weeks if he passes an approved course.
