MORE than 350 people enjoyed the best of village life at the Tichborne Fete.

The event which is held every two years, took place this year at Tichborne House on Saturday.

People enjoyed a dog show, bric-a-brac, a BBQ, a silent auction and various other fun-filled activities.

The proceeds will raise funds towards maintaining St Andrews Church.

Organiser Catherine Loudon said: "The weather was really kind to use, it was quite warm and it did not rain it was a fun atmosphere and everyone pulled together.

"We are only a tiny village and it is nice to get something going like this, everyone was enthusiastic and everyone pitched in."

Overall organisers believe £4,500 was raised this year.
